Oleniok (Siberia) - canoes expedition 2019


Department of Geomorphology, Geoarcheology and Environmental Management took the institutional and a scientific patronage of the canoes expedition on the Oleniok river (Siberia) entitled Wyprawa śladami Aleksandra Czekanowskiego OLENIOK 2019, which is to take place from June to August 2019. Under the patronage together with the participants of the expedition, will be realize the project Zróżnicowanie teksturalne aluwiów korytowych rzeki Oleniok. Canoeists will take several samples of sediments on the entire route. This will allow to determine the variability of the grain size of modern alluvium for a length of about 2000 km from the source to it estuarium of the river.
